Protective Factors: Concrete Support in Times of Need ZOOM
2/22/2021 6:30 – 8:30 pm
The Protective Factors Framework helps professionals who work with children and families in promoting the optimal development of all children while protecting vulnerable children from maltreatment. This in-depth course on Concrete Support in Times of Need explores different types of concrete supports, potential barriers to families seeking help, ways to find out about services in the community and ways to link families to services. The course examines biases, culture and other challenges to providing support in a non-threatening and welcoming way. The Strengthening Families Protective Factors Framework is a national and international initiative that aims to develop and enhance five specific characteristics that help The Center for the Study of Social Policy develop the framework with funding from the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation.
