Protective Factors: Social Connections

4/8  6:30 – 8:30 pm

The Protective Factors Framework helps professionals who work with children and families in promoting the optimal development of all children while protecting vulnerable children from maltreatment. This in-depth course on Social Connections explores the value of healthy family relationships and how connecting to others in meaningful ways can strengthen families. The course will discuss how to encourage parents to build strong social networks and what you can do in your daily work to foster those social connections. The Strengthening Families Protective Factors Framework is a national and international initiative that aims to develop and enhance five specific characteristics that help The Center for the Study of Social Policy develop the framework with funding from the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation.
