Triple P Stepping Stones seminars are intended for parents who have children with varying abilities. These FREE seminars are designed to provide an overview and introduction to the principles of positive parenting.
Stepping Stones seminars will enhance parents’ techniques on encouraging their child’s social and communication skills, emotion self-regulation, independence, and problem-solving ability. Accomplishment of these skills promote family harmony, reduces parent-child conflict, fosters successful peer relationships, and prepares children for the challenges they may face at school and throughout their adult life.
Seminar 3: Focusing on a process for understanding and managing problem behavior. Parents are often uncertain about how to respond to children’s problem behaviors in ways that help children learn to behave more appropriately. This seminar shows parents the steps of how to track the behavior, understand why the behavior is occurring, change events that occur before the problem, encourage alternative behavior, remove accidental rewards, and put the plan in action.
