3/4/20    6:30-9:30 pm

Supporting Language and Early Literacy: Phonological Awareness, Alphabet Knowledge & Concepts about Print is one session in a series of seven designed to promote evidence-based universal practices that support the six standards-based content areas of early literacy. This course will focus on phonological awareness, alphabet knowledge, and concepts about print as early literacy foundations, based on early learning standards and current research. Strategies are included to address Dual Language Learner needs. The target audience for training includes all teachers and providers serving children in the birth through 5 years range. While adaptations and modifications to meet the needs of individual children are strongly encouraged, universal practices are the primary focus of this training.
