Supporting Language and Early Literacy: Emergent Writing

3/18/20   6:30-9:30 pm

Supporting Language and Early Literacy: Emergent Writing is one session in a series of seven designed to promote evidence-based universal practices that support the six standards-based content areas of early literacy. This course will focus on writing as one of the 6 elements that is critical to an early literacy program, based on early learning standards and current research. Strategies are included to address Dual Language Learner needs. The target audience for training includes all teachers and providers serving children in the birth through 5 years range. While adaptations and modifications to meet the needs of individual children are strongly encouraged, universal practices are the primary focus of this training.
