Supporting Language and Early Literacy: Family Engagement

6/8/20  6:30-9:30 pm

Supporting Language and Early Literacy: Family Engagement is one session in a series of seven designed to promote evidence-based universal practices that support the six standards-based content areas of early literacy. This course will provide strategies for engaging families in literacy development activities that support the 6 vital components of early literacy, including shared reading and other evidence-based strategies. Strategies will be included to address Dual Language Learner needs. The target audience for training includes all teachers and providers serving children in the birth through 5 years range. While adaptations and modifications to meet the needs of individual children are strongly encouraged, universal practices are the primary focus of this training.
