Trainings & Support for Early Childhood Professionals
Family & Childcare Resources of N.E.W. supports childcare providers through training and onsite consultations. Training ranges from courses for those starting out in the childcare field to training for the more experienced providers. Our onsite technical consultations are personalized to meet the needs of your program. You can call 920-432-8899 to check availability and register anytime. If you have questions, please email our Early Childhood manager.
Referrals
We are here to help promote your childcare program by providing families with childcare referrals. By providing us with your information, we can connect families looking for childcare with the programs that match their qualifications. We do not recommend one program over another.
Education & Regulation
There is a great need for high quality childcare in Wisconsin. To become a regulated provider and start your own childcare business, you need to take entry-level childcare classes.
Here are some of the benefits of becoming a regulated childcare provider:
- You may be eligible for Food Program reimbursement and local and state grants and loans
- The caregiver may reduce liability risks to themselves by following rules and standards
- Many parents prefer regulated care knowing that training and monitoring take place
- Wisconsin families utilizing Wisconsin Shares (childcare assistance program) are only permitted to use regulated care
We serve Brown, Door, Kewaunee, Oconto, Shawano, Marinette, and Menominee Counties, as well as Oneida, Menominee, and Stockbridge-Munsee Tribes. For more information, please visit our childcare start-up page or email our Early Childhood Manager.
