Frequently Asked QuESTIONS

For the first time using our diaper event, you will:

  • Schedule your appointment by using the online form or calling our office.
  • On the day of your first appointment, please bring proof of birth for each child. The document can be a picture or a hard copy. Documents must be legible and in good condition. Illegible or significantly damaged documents may not be accepted. Acceptable documents include:
    • Birth Certificate
    • Footprints Certificate
    • Passport
    • Insurance Card for the child
    • For Childcare Providers: Enrollment records
    • Medical Records
    • Additional documents may be accepted at the discretion of FCRNEW staff.
  • Once verified, you will be issued a Diaper ID number. Your family will receive a Diaper ID card for each eligible child the following month.

When you schedule an appointment online or by calling our office, you will provide the ID number on the card for each child. This helps us with flow of the diaper event and accuracy for our records.

There is no income requirement to use our diaper event. If you are taking care of a child in diapers, you are eligible to use our diaper pickup event.

To manage flow, use of our parking lot, and to ensure every family is served, diaper pickup is held on the second full week of the month and by appointment only.

Appointments must be scheduled using the online form below or by calling our office.

Time slots are limited and close 24 hours before the next day or once full.

Distribution Times:

  • Monday: 1:00–2:30 PM
  • Tuesday: 2:00–3:30 PM
  • Wednesday: 3:00–4:30 PM
  • Thursday: 4:00–5:30 PM

Yes! You may receive diapers in your last trimester. For proper registration and scheduling of your diaper pickup, you will need to provide a due date. Once the baby is born, we will need verification of the child as noted in the "How do I receive a Diaper ID card" section of this FAQ.

Families may designate someone to pick up diapers on their behalf. Please ensure that the designated individual knows the scheduled pickup time, the Diaper ID number(s)/child(ren) name(s), and the name under which the appointment was made.

Different brands of diapers have slight variance in terms of fit. A proper diaper fit is snug, not tight on a child. You should be able to comfortably fit two fingers under the waistband of the diaper/pullup.

Yes! We appreciate the kindness of our providers and how much they support their families. The provider will need to provide us with the child's documentation noted in "How do I receive a Diaper ID card" section of this FAQ.

We strongly encourage families to take a photo of the card or record the ID number for their records.

Diaper ID cards will only be reprinted if there is a significant error. Families are responsible for keeping track of their ID card. Lost, stolen, or misplaced cards will not be reissued.
