Tell us about your background.
I have worked in childcare most of my adult life. I spent many years as a teacher, and wrapped up my career as a center director for a large group childcare center. I worked with children and families from all backgrounds, and managed an amazing staff of 25-30 teachers.
What did you go to school for?
I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Change and Development from UW-Green Bay (many moons ago!). I have taken several trainings pertaining to young children and families over the past years. I also received my Administrator’s Credential from UW-Platteville in 2015.
Do you volunteer at all?
I spend many hours volunteering for my children’s school, Holy Family School. I am the secretary of the HFS Athletic Booster Club. We fund all athletic programs at the school and have a lot of fun doing so! I also spend as much time as I can helping out in other areas at the school; in the classroom, in the lunchroom, on field trips, etc.
What are your hobbies and interests?
My family and I enjoy being outdoors and to get out of town! We love hiking & kayaking, and in general, exploring new places. I’m also perfectly content to be lazy and read a good book for hours on end!
Why are you looking forward to working for Family & Childcare Resources of N.E.W.?
I am excited to work for FCRNEW because I am ready for a new professional challenge. I am looking forward to having a positive impact on our local community! Everyone here has been so welcoming; what a great group of people!
Tell us a fun fact about you.
I could live off of nachos. Good nachos of course!
